The flight lasts from 10 to 30 minutes, it all depends on the weather conditions.
Yes, our paragliding tandem pilots are taking photos or videos of your flight on a GoPro, so you can get them for 25 € on a USB. If you would like to have the photos and videos of your tandem flight, please arrange that with the pilot before your flight.
You can take photos in the air if you have a GoPro (or similar) that can be attached to you. Taking photos or video with the phone is not recommendable because it can fall off. Our pilots are also taking photos and videos up in the air with a GoPro and for the supplement of 25 € you can get those on with the USB. You can arrange that with your pilot before the flight.
During your tandem flight, you will be able to observe the Bled island and castle along with the beautiful Alpine surroundings. You will be flying above the forests and hills around the lake, and if the thermal is good also directly above the lake. On one side you will have the view of Karawanken mountain range and on the other on the Julian Alps along with the highest Slovenian mountain Triglav.
For the Lake Bled paragliding tandems, we have three different landing spots all in proximity to the lake. The most common landing spot is a bit away from the center of Bled city on the big meadow just before the village Zasip.
During the main season usually, all the spots are booked which means we don’t have any extra space in the van. In that case, your friend or family can drive with their car behind us or wait for you at the landing spot. However, if we have some space in the van available we can take extra people (driving to the take-off spot and back to landing) for the supplement of 10 €.
The meeting point is in Bled city center on address Ljubljanska cesta 28,4260 Bled (link do lokacije, pod kontakti). However, we can do the pick up from your accommodation if it is in the Bled area (5 km). You can let us know your location by booking.
Lake Bled pilots can do some paragliding acrobatics if the circumstances allow them. Anyway, they won’t do anything extreme without discussing it with you first. If you would like to feel more adrenalin just let our pilot know during the flight.
